Patrick’s Obituary
EGERTON – Patrick Adrian McCarron, 88, Egerton, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. His beloved wife, Carole, and daughter, Shelly, were by his side.
Born May 14, 1933, in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Leo and Maude Claire (Moore) McCarron. He was a member of the former St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Egerton. Pat leaves behind his wife, Carole (Polley); daughters, Cheryl McCarron (Wayne Bartlett), Quirpon, N.L.; Shelly MacPherson, Linacy; Paula McCarron-Mathis, Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Zachary, Jaslyn, Leo, and Patrick; siblings, Frances MacDonald, Jerome (Audrey) McCarron, and Nora (Peter) Forsythe; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Pat was predeceased by his son, Brad; siblings, Bill, Bernadette, John Brian, Beatrice, Leo, and Evelyn.
Pat defined himself through the people in his life. He was a devoted and adoring husband, proud father, awesome grampy, loyal brother, uncle and friend. Pat would go any distance (and has driven many, many miles) for anyone he considered family or friend. Loved by all who knew him, he will be remembered as always kind and loyal, and forever ready for a story and a laugh. He was a true humble soul and he will be deeply missed.
The family will receive visitors 10-10:50 a.m. Monday, October 25, 2021, in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Father Colin MacKinnon presiding. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Egerton.
