Patricia Victory “Patsy” Jacques, of Wawota, Saskatchewan, beloved wife of Rene Jacques and loving mom of Heather, Adrien, Ava, Jeanine and the late Sheree, passed away at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre, Moosomin, on Monday, May 31st, 2021 at the age of 80 years.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Moosomin & District Healthcare Foundation for the Southeast Integrated Care Centre, in memory of Patsy.
Patsy was born on November 4, 1940 to Matilda and Walter Jackson, the youngest of nine children.
Patsy met Rene Jacques and they were married on May 24, 1958. Together they had five children: Sheree, Heather, Adrien, Ava and Jeanine.
Patsy worked side by side with Rene on the farm and later took a job at Deer View Lodge first as a cook and then in housekeeping. When she retired, she enjoyed her gardening and spending more time with her children and grandchildren. Patsy and Rene retired and sold the farm and made the move to Wawota in July 1920
Mom fought a good fight against cancer until May 31st, when she passed away at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre, Moosomin with her family by her side. Our family lost a dedicated and loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Mom was predeceased by her daughter Sheree, niece Fae Jackson, Granddaughter Hailey, great grandson Kolson, her parents, and siblings Eric, William (Bill), Herbert, Doreen, and Philip.
Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Rene, Her children: Heather (Steven), Adrien (Kathy), Ave (Blair), Jeanine (Hector), grandson/son Travis (Heather) many grandchildren, Nieces, nephews, sister Phyllis and two brothers Walter and Harvey.
