Patricia Cole
“Pat” Schofield, age 79, passed away on October 16, 2021, in
the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Victoria,
Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Barbara
(Hollett) Cole. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene
“John” Schofield; brothers, Ivan Cole and Robert Cole, and
stepson, Steven Schofield. She is survived by her sister, Linda
(Sharon); children, Sherry (Mike), Sylvia (John), and Stephen
(Michelle); sister-in-law, Annalee; niece, Chera; nephew, Chris;
grandchildren, Riley, Jamie, Regan, Vaughan, Vincent, Michelle, Sam,
Harris, and great grand-daughter, Estelle. Pat loved to keep busy and
after retiring from CNA work at Palmeter’s Country Home and
Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, she cared for many older adults
in their homes, sewed and knitted for the gift shop at Valley Regional
Hospital and volunteered at Fidelis House, among many other things.
She was well known for her baking skills and blessed many people with
cakes, pies, and cookies over the years. She was also recognized for
her exceptional seamstress work. Pat was known for being generous with
her time helping others and will be sadly missed by her family and
friends. There will be no visitation and a graveside service will be
held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of
your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Online condolences and
