PASCHKE Helen June 3 2021

Helen Paschke was born near Beechy, SK to George and Nettie Fast on July 1, 1940. The family moved to St. Catharines, ON in 1941 where Helen grew up. She became a teacher serving schools in rural Niagara. She attended Bible College in Winnipeg, MB where she met Grayson Paschke. They were married in 1968. They moved to the U.S. to continue their education and where Grayson pastored a church. They returned to Canada to Saskatchewan in 1975 and later to Alberta for ministry.
The opportunity came to teach at a new school in Lithuania in the post-Soviet era where Helen taught in the English language program and Grayson in the college.
It was back to Edmonton in 2000 and then to north-western BC to serve a small mission church there. They returned to Wetaskiwin in 2008.
Helen began to show signs of Alzheimer’s dementia and so they moved back to Edmonton where Helen spent the last ten months of her life in care homes. She went home to be with her Lord on June 3.
She is predeceased by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and one sister-in-law. She is survived by her husband Grayson, her three sons (Matthew and his wife Deanne and their three children, Joel and his wife Gwen and their two children, and Philip and his partner Wade), and by three brothers and two sisters and their families. A graveside service will be held in rural Millet and a memorial service later in Wetaskiwin. Gifts in Helen’s name may be made to various Christian organizations.
