It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved Dad, Papa, and friend Richard George Parrott, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 66. He will be missed and forever remembered by his children Christie (Rob), Candice (Leon), & Mark. He was the proudest Papa to Nicky, Abby, Isabelle, ET, Andrew, Nate & Roro. He loved being Papa more than anything in life. He also leaves to mourn his sisters Jody (Dode), Jackie (Pinky) (George), and brother Robb (Kelly). He was predeceased by his parents George & Natalie.
Dad had many passions in life including flying, watching sports, and fishing, but Papa loved nothing more than cheering on his grandkids in their sports. Rick (Skinny) was a cherished friend to many lifelong friends, which is such a testament to his character. He was often the life of the party; he always left something behind (travel mug, hat, keys) just so you remembered Rick was here. He was a hard worker, a bit of a dreamer that taught us that everything is possible through hard work. He was proud of his kids and we are so proud to call him Dad. His body was tired, his wit was sharp, and his love was fierce. Thank you Dad/Papa for loving us.
In lieu of Flowers – Tell a joke (dirtier the better), visit a friend, have a tea with a lot in honey in it, forgive someone and laugh, laugh harder than you thought was possible.
