Paola Francolini (Bellardi) lived a full life, with family and friends. She passed peacefully on May 20, 2021, in her 81st year.
Paola is survived by her loving and forever growing family. Her children Guendalin Francolini (Norman McBean), Nancy Francolini-Tasillo (Nick Tasillo), Dario Francolini (Rebecca Francolini), and Bryan Francolini (Nicole Francolini). Her grandchildren Sibonne and Santanya, Marissa (Blake), Alessandro and Lucia, Eric and Vanessa (Patrick). Her great grandchildren Kyrah and Kahlina, Andreas and Logan. Her loving brother Dario Bellardi (Sara), niece Lucia Bellardi (Marco) and their two daughters Alida and Giulia, all in Pesaro. Predeceased by the love of her life, Leonardo Francolini, in the winter of 2018. Also predeceased by her first two children, Alessandro in 1965 and Davide in 1987, and her parents Lina in 1965 and Otello in 1983. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, cousins, and extended family in Ottawa and Italy, as well as her many friends throughout Ontario.
Paola was born April 15, 1941 in the beautiful seaside city of Pesaro, Italy. She was an accomplished artist of ceramics and crochet, and had a passion for the culinary arts. She was always willing to share one of her wonderful recipes. It was in these early years that she met and fell in love with Leonardo. They married in 1964 and immigrated to Canada in 1966 to start a new life and family. They moved to Coniston in 1971 where Paola was a devoted mother to her family. No task was ever too much for Paola. She gave of her time and talents to the end of her days. She will be ever so fondly remembered for her giving nature and fabulous meals with family and friends.
A private family funeral will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, on Saturday, May 29th, 2021 at 11am, which can be viewed by livestream by clicking here .
