Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Wayne (Trudy), Barry (Anne), Keith (Stephanie), Dwight (Kathryn), Campbell (Lise), and Frank; daughters, Katherine (Gord), Gwen (Terry) Colbourne, Elaine (Howard) Manuel, and Alice (Barry) Porter; a number of grandchildren and great -grandchildren; brother, Almon Jennings; sister-in-law, Marie Jennings; as well as other relatives and friends.
Pansy was predeceased by her husband, Pearce; parents, Kenneth and Agnes Jennings; brothers, Raymond Jennings; Major Frank Jennings, Gerald Jennings; and sister, Edna Pinsent.
A long life to be celebrated; Pansy was born in the beautiful outport of Moreton’s Harbour in Notre Dame Bay on February 4, 1922. She spent her early years there, then later moved into the town of Lewisporte. She found employment at Potter’s Restaurant, where she met her love, the “tall and handsome” Pearce Fudge. They were married in 1947 and soon began to fill their home with children, TEN in total! They worked hard to support such a large family, but were at their happiest with a lively house full of kids! She spent her time taking care of her family, and could cook, bake, sew, and knit to perfection. Her love and concern for her children was always her priority.
Pansy was fortunate to be able to enjoy living in her own home until she was close to 96 years old. She then moved into White’s Family Care Residence in Browns Arm, where she was cared for by the most loving and kind staff, who quickly became her extended family. She took part in their social gatherings, made new friends, and found herself doing “crafts” for the first time ever. She also enjoyed attending the church services that were held regularly in the home. When her health was failing, she was lovingly cared for by “her girls” at White’s Residence until she passed. The family is forever grateful to them all.
“My children are all well, and I’ve lived a good life” …… Mom
