Pamela Jean Barr
1950-2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Pamela
Jean Barr of Millville, New Brunswick. She passed peacefully,
surrounded by loved ones on September 28, 2021, at Monarch Hall,
Parkland Shannex, Riverview, New Brunswick.
Pamela is survived by her daughters Candy Bateman (Martin) of
Shediac Cape, N.B., Lynn Neal (Chris) of Woodstock, NB.; her
granddaughters Lynn Redmond (Shawn) of Riverview, NB., Tristen Paul
(Jesse) of Woodstock First Nations, NB., Karley Maynard of Woodstock,
NB., Allyson Bateman (Edward) of Shediac Cape, NB.; great grandson
Rowan; her brother David McConaghy (Glendeena) of Nackawick, NB.;
Sisters Wanda McConaghy of Rusagonis, NB., Gail Stewart (Wayne) of
Rusagonis, NB.; and sister-in-law Shirley McConaghy of Millville,
NB.
Stepchildren Steven Barr (Toby) of Fredericton, NB., Fred
Barr (Janie) of McAdam, NB., Derrick Barr (Helen) of Saint John, NB.,
Donna Penney (Derek) of Innisfail, AB.; grandchildren Heather, Jami,
Daniele, Andrew, Jonathan, Brett; great grandchildren Rebecca,
Natalie, Ameila, Jack, Samuel.
As well as many friends, nieces, nephews, and extended Nova
Scotia family.
Pamela was predeceased by her loving husband Stanley Barr;
her parents John and Lottie McConaghy; brothers Kenneth McConaghy, and
Reginald McConaghy.
Pam was born in Millville where she spent her whole life. She
was well known in the community and took pride in her village. She
loved to ride motorcycle, playing the guitar, all outdoor activates,
and especially camping. She truly enjoyed working with her hands on
projects like wood working and painting. Pam loved her time working at
the Mactaquac Provincial Park Campground for over 40 years.
She had a big heart and was very generous. She took great pride in her
family and deeply loved her grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in Millville, where she will
be laid to rest with her husband.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Louise Breau
Memorial Trust Fund in her name.
Pam’s arrangements are entrusted to
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007). Online condolences may be
