Olive Victoria Page Young Saturday July 24th 2021

Page, Olive [nee Young] – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Olive Victoria Page. Mom passed away in her 84th year peacefully surrounded by her family and her closest friend, Joanie at the Temiskaming Hospital on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Olive is the daughter of George Young and Olive Parker and is survived by her mother, Phoebe Osborne Young. Wife to James Alexander (Alex) Page (deceased). Olive is the mother to four boys, Richard (Debbie), Timothy, David (Kimberly) and Terry (deceased). Mom has many loving brothers and sisters, Gloria (Doug, deceased), Joyce (Ken) (both deceased), Lois (deceased), Sharon (deceased) (Charlie), Harvey, Margaret (Dave, deceased), Shelby (George), George (deceased) (Marion), Roger, Laura (Bill) along with many, many nieces and nephews. Grandmother to Derek (Correy), Caren, Taylor, Lindsay (Codey), Danya and Rylan. Great-Grandmother to Jordan, Brooke, Madison, Morgan, Dusty-Storm, Willow, Alexis, Aubrey and Emilia.
Mom was a kind, gracious and giving woman who could light up a room with her smile. She had many battles with cancer over the years and devoted much of her time to volunteering with cancer groups. Mom lived much of her life in Temagami, mostly where she loved to be, at her cottage on Jumping Caribou Lake surrounded by many wonderful friends. Mom has asked us to thank all of her friends in Temagami and Jumping Caribou Lake for sharing such a wonderful life with her. She said many times she would not want to live anywhere else in the world. In fact, she wrote and performed the `Temagami Song. She asked us to be sure to mention all of the wonderful friends she had in Timmins, her golf and curling buddies, her Sisters by Choice, all of the Angels at the Rideau Regional Centre and her Ministers, Graham Stap and Derek Neal. Mom is also survived by her best friend in the world, Joan Frappier (Ian deceased). It is hard to express how much gratitude we feel toward our friend Joanie for the many years of watching over our mother. Mom and Joanie were tied at the hip and did everything together. They brought such joy to so many people. They were so close that Joanie`s family became our family. Mom always referred to them as our second family and loved them deeply. I know that “Auntie“ will be sadly missed by Susan (Brian), Greg (Brenda), Jenny (Blaine), Matty (Ashley), Billy, Emily, Ryan and Katie.
Our family wishes to thank Dr. Goddard and the Temagami Health Clinic for all of their kindness and wonderful care of Mom over the years. We would also like to thank the wonderful Doctors and Nurses at the Temiskaming Hospital for their kind care and attention at the end of Mom`s life.
The family plans to hold a visitation in Temagami, a private Celebration of Life at Jumping Caribou Lake and an Internment at the Sebright Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences and contributions may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.
