1932-2021
REXTON, NB – Norma Martin 88, of Rexton passed away
peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home on Friday, April 8,
2021. Born in Sackville, NB she was the daughter of the late
Lindell Hicks and Marion (Kenney) Hicks.
Norma will be sadly missed by her daughter, Ann Phinney
(Eric) of Childs Creek; her sons, Bill Martin (Tammy) of Childs Creek,
Robert Martin (Elaine) of Cocagne; a foster son, Michael Taylor of
Moncton; five grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Erica, Sara, Charles and two
great granddaughters, Veronica and Diana.
She is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Vautour (late
George) of Moncton, Barbara McKnight (late William) of Rothesay, Linda
Troop (Leaman) of Midgic; sister-in-law, Lorraine Hicks of Ontario and
many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Alexander Martin and one brother, Charles.
As per Norma’s wishes there will be no visitation
at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held at the
Rexton Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses and announced at a later
date.
The family wish to express a sincere thank you to Dr.
Michelle LeBlanc, the staff at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home and to
Norma’s home care worker, Sharon Young for the exceptional
care they provided to her.
Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto (523-4252).
