Noreen Howes 2021

Obituary of Noreen Howes
Howes; Noreen Jeannette
February 16, 1937 – April 10, 2021
Sadly we announce the passing of Noreen very peacefully at Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
She was the youngest child of the late Ambrose and Lena Howes. Also predeceased by siblings Lillian, Arthur, Viola, Evelyn, Robert, Vernon, Glennis and John as well as nephew Stephen.
Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Betty (Art), Barbara (Robert), many nieces and nephews as well as cherished friends she spoke about often.
Noreen was fiercely independent and private and lived a very simple life in the same downtown apartment in Kingston for her last 30 years. She enjoyed word puzzles, watching TV, writing letters and phoning friends and relatives. She enjoyed outings to the local Legion and Grand Theatre to watch live musical performances. She enjoyed her occasional trips by taxi or bus to the Cataraqui Mall and her favourite restaurant Cavelier Room at Lasalle Hotel where she made friends with some of the waitresses who treated her with kindness.
Due to covid restrictions there will be no visitation or funeral service, cremation has taken place and there will be a private burial at Cataraqui Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Noreen’s memory can be made to Salvation Army. Many thanks to the staff of Davies 5, KGH for their patience, care and compassion where Noreen was a patient for over a year awaiting placement at Providence Manor.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Noreen Howes 2021..
