Obituary of Nora Elizabeth McEwen
Nora Elizabeth Amy McEwen (nee Dungate)
January 29, 1938 – March 14, 2021
Nora McEwen grew up in Houston, BC, the only child of life-long Houston residents Bill and Betty Dungate. She married Allison (Al) McEwen in September 1956 and together they raised five children in Houston before relocating to Al’s home province, New Brunswick, in 1978. With her children grown, Nora was able to spend more time indulging her interests in finding and refinishing antique furnishings, knitting and crocheting, assembling extensive family genealogies, and – not unlike her mother and father before her – tending expansive flower and vegetable gardens.
Nora was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her sons Brent and Ronald. She is survived by her daughters: Gail (Miller) and Pamela (Graves), her son, Alan; grandchildren: Jennifer Lundberg, Cody Graves, Daniel and Caelan Miller, Sabrina Pilcik, Andrea and Billy McEwen, and great-grandchildren: Courtenay Squire, Matthew and Henry Miller and Veronica Pilcik.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, NB, (506) 433-1176. Due to Covid-19, A private graveside service will be scheduled at Trinity Anglican cemetery in Sus, NB at a later date.
