Passed away on December 14, 2021 , at Fogo Island Health Centre, Noel Hart age 90 years.He was pre-deceased by his Father and Mother Roland and Leah Hart, brothers: Harvey,Silas,Nelson, sister in -law Viona Hart,& brother in-law George Dawe. Left to mourn with loving memories Wife; Lucy, sons; Thomas (Amelda ),Rex (Kelly ), Daughters: Betty (Wade ),& Netta (Kevin ), Grandchildren: Shannon (David ),Melanie (Azeez ),Kaitiyn (Michael ), Jonathan,Mckaylee,& Kalan, Brother Leonard,Sister Murial Dawe, Sister in-law Mary (Frank),Brother in-law Ronald (Mabel ), & a large number of neices & Nephews.cousins & friends.
Noel Hart was born on Fogo Island- June 23, 1931, in the community of Seal Cove, later moving to Island Harbour with his family as a young boy.
When Noel became of age he started fishing. During his mid teens he worked with his father in Botwood loading boats and working on the roads in Lewisporte.In his late teens he went to work in the lumber woods of Miller town, using a buck saw and axe until the first chainsaws were invented, He retired in 1992.
In January of 1962 he married Lucy Coles of Island Harbour and had 4 children.
Noel was a loving husband, father,grandfather,brother,uncle,and friend.known for his charm, wit, humbleness, big heart and great sense of humour.
If you visit the Hart home, you would be welcomed with a hug or handshake a cup of tea and a baked good.And you would never leave without Noel standing by the door looking out the window waving as you drove away.
Noel had a personality that everyone loved and admired, he brought out the best in everyone.He will be dearly missed and his family and friends will cherish the precious memories that he left behind.
