The friends and family of
Betty Marie Nilsson (nee Witzel)
are saddened to announce her passing
on June 19th, 2021
at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (Picton)
in her 98th year.
Betty was born in Kitchener, Ontario on December 13, 1923 to Edward and Louise (Kudoba) Witzel.
She was the wife to the late Bill Nilsson (2017),
sister to Jerry Witzel (deceased) and mother to Gary.
Her sister-in-laws Vivian Robinson, Astrid Burkholder and Carolle (Don) Ziegler survive her.
Betty spent time in the WRCNS during WWII. She met her husband Bill at the Chicopee Ski Club in Kitchener
and they were married in 1952.
They lived in Kitchener until their move in the 1980s to Wellington.
The friends and family would like to thank the medical staff at the Picton Hospital,
her fantastic neighbours Nicole; Doris and Karen as well as Tod Lavender for their support during these last years.
At Betty’s request cremation has taken place and no service is planned.
