Obituary
In Loving Memory of Nick Yaschuk
September 2, 1929 – September 17, 2021
Nick was born on the farm, north of Biggar, the second youngest of five boys. In November of 1958 Nick married the love of his life, Lydia. Together they raised their four children on the farm where Nick devoted his life’s work.
Well-known and respected as a hardworking grain farmer, Nick’s lifelong love for animals meant he found his greatest enjoyment raising his cherished cattle— no matter the weather.
He will be remembered as he was at his happiest, sitting around the kitchen table surrounded by his friends, family, and all his grandsons— maybe having a shot or two.
Although he will always be missed, we are comforted to know that Nick is now reunited with his beloved Lydia and back at the kitchen table with his old friends once again.
Nick leaves his loving family: Debbie, Randy and Michele; Terry and Shelley; Holly and his five amazing grandsons: Kyle, Greg, Brandon and Sara-Jane, Shane and Nicholas.
Our special thanks to the staff at the Battlefords District Care Centre for your friendship and care they gave to Nick over the years. You were a big part of our lives.
A family memorial will follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Trevor Watts of Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium.
