January 19, 1926 – May 03,2021
Married Eileen on June 10, 1950, who was the love of his life since their teens. They would have been celebrating their 71st Anniversary this June. Their love and devotion to each other was still going strong.
Neil is predeceased by his parents Leonard and Mary Carlson and his brother Elwood (Jean Smith).
Survived by his loving family – wife Eileen, sons Barry (Brenda), Brian (Samantha) and Pa to his grandsons Christopher, Tyler, Ian (Rosalinn) and Jack.
Pa will be remembered as a real tease by his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his sweet-tooth and for his love of dessert.
He will be greatly missed by many extended family and friends.
In 1942, Neil his brother and two neighborhood friends joined the P.L.D.G. Recee. Regiment, a local Reserve Army unit.
In 1943, with his father’s permission, Neil joined the R.C.A.F. while attending High School.
Following a discharge from the R.C.A.F. Neil joined the R.C.N.V.R. and served until the end of the war. At the conclusion of the war in Europe, he volunteered for the Pacific War, but which ended prior to his services being required.
