Obituary
We grieve the loss of our beloved son, Nathaniel, on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at home at the age of 19 years. Left to treasure his memory are his parents, Leanne and Robert, sister MaryBeth (Nicholas), nephew Malakai, grandparents Patricia, Gregory, Bertus and Jantje, uncles Greg Jr. (Lisa, JohnGary (Elizabeth), Rhyan (Danielle), Grahame (Angela), Henry and Clarence, aunt Janet (Ricl) and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
Nathaniel’s smile, laugh and quick wit would light up any room. He was a kind and caring soul who would do anything for his friends. His desire to help others had recently led him to pursue becoming a Social Worker. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nephew Kai, who lit up his world. He will be deeply loved and missed by his family and friends who got to know him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. A service to celebrate Nathaniel’s life will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Nathaniel’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association – Central Region, 102 – 1st Street NW, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 1Y9.
