Naomi Richer 2021

Naomi Richer
(née Sorkin)
It is with great sadness the family of Naomi Richer announces her passing on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Toronto. Cherished wife of Jack Richer. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Eric Richer, Rhonda Richer and Tim Lipa. Devoted grandmother of Harris Richer, Malerie Lipa and Matthew Fuller, and Russell Lipa. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Joan and the late Bob Litwin; and sister-in-law of Irving and the late Dora Richer, Helaine and Morty Schwam.
Born and raised in Montreal – this is where she lived her life until a recent move to Toronto. Naomi was a pioneer for women’s independence and completed her BA at Sir George Williams University. Later, while raising her family, she returned to McGill University and completed her Master of Social Work. She worked for many years in Child Psychiatry and was highly regarded in her field.
Naomi and Jack shared a passion for travel and together discovered the world. They also shared a love for sports and were avid sailors, cyclists, tennis players, golfers, and skiers.
A private funeral service to take place in Montreal. Family and Friends in Toronto are invited to visit at the home of Rhonda and Tim, at 67 Dunvegan Road, on Friday December 17, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Donations in Naomi’s memory may be made to the UHN (University Health Network) Foundation, (416) 603-5300 or 1-877-846-4483.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Naomi Richer 2021..
