Obituary of Nancy Margaret Baxter
BAXTER, Nancy Margaret (nee Reevey)
In appreciation for a life well lived, the family of Nancy Margaret Baxter (Reevey), wish to announce with profound sadness the passing of our beautiful mother on October 22, 2021 in her home in Kennebecasis Park Rothesay, New Brunswick. Nancy was born in Bebington, England on December 5, 1934 and she immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of 16. As a young woman she met her beloved husband Joseph Addington Baxter to whom she was married for 63 happy years.
She spent many winters in sunny Florida with her family a place she truly loved. She was a lifelong member of the Riverside Golf and Country Club where she loved to play golf with the “Niners”. She loved playing bridge with her neighbours and bowling with the “girls “in the winter. Nancy’s home was always a place where one could expect great food as she was a wonderful cook. Whether it be in her home in Kennebecasis Park or at her summer home at New River Beach (Her Happy Place). Everyone was welcomed with a smile whenever they came to Nancy’s home.
She was a long-time member of St Paul’s Anglican Church in Rothesay. We will miss our mothers beautiful smile and cherish all the memories of our family gatherings. Nancy was always the ultimate lady. In later years her strength and kindness showed as she cared for her husband Joseph with his illness. Nancy was a kind caring woman to her three children, her four grandchildren, her sisters and her friends. The family would like to thank especially Sarah from Integrity Home Care who was so kind to our mother.
Nancy leaves behind her husband Joseph Baxter her children, Joanne Bizeau (Dan), Jill Howarth (Arthur), Jeffrey Baxter (Charlene) grandchildren, Kristan, Gregory, Emily, Hannah. Her sisters, Maureen Logan (Paul), Patricia Teed (John), Wendy Klohn (Hans). Sister-in-law Carol Moore and brother-in-law Paul Baxter. Several nieces nephews cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Gladys Reevey and Alexander Reevey and brother-in-law Gerald Baxter. She will be dearly missed.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 2 pm in Brenan’s chapel with visiting an hour prior.
