1941-2021
The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of Gordon Hopcraft and loving mother of the late Kevin Hopcraft (1999) and Keith (Louise) Hopcraft of Timmins. Cherished grandmother of Jordan and Kayla (Tyler) with great grandbaby due in January 2022. Dear sister of late Clifford Reeds of Kearney, late Ronald Raynor (Sally) of Sault Ste. Marie, late Karl Raynor (Shirley), late Dale Raynor (Pat), Mary Flavelle (Rick) of Emsdale and Norman Raynor (Nancy) of Bracebridge. She was also predeceased by her parents Franklin and Lilian Raynor, her infant sisters Donna and Debbie Raynor. Nancy was very proud of her family and all of their achievements and enjoyed watching her sons grow and mature. She was also proud of her university degrees and all the students whose lives she touched, as well as her volunteer work as peer counsellor and pastoral care at the hospital. She enjoyed traveling with her friends Kathy and Terry, reading, crafts, spending time at the cottage and doing volunteer work. She was a life member of the Canadian Snowbird Association, the Retired Teachers Association, the Dinner Club, Cancer Volunteer and the Pastoral Care Volunteer. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses from the Timmins and District Hospital and all the staff from Bayshore for their care and compassion during this time. Remembrance donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Masonic Foundation of Ontario or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 (masks and social distancing will be required along with the maximum number of attendees allowed in the visitation parlour) at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home. Due to the current pandemic restrictions and limitations a private funeral service will be held. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
