Nan McGhee, loving mother of Heather of Oklahoma and Patricia of Bancroft, beloved wife of the late Milton McGhee, grandmother of Elizabeth and Alexander and dear sister of Garth Turner of Lunenburg, N.S., and Mary Hodges of Barrie. She was predeceased by her parents, James Archibald Turner and Doris Jacqueline Shutterworth. Nan was a woman with a way of letting you know how she felt about anything! She moved to the Bancroft area in 1988 permanently but had been here 10 years prior. She would want to be remembered, in regard to her career, as a teacher, writer and broadcaster, and in that order. One of the first voices of CJNH radio and a former Bancroft Councillor, Nan will be remembered for her tenacity, determination, intelligence, outspokenness and for her devotion to the people, causes and interests that meant most to her.
