Liske, Nancy Lynn (nee Hughes) 1961- 2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Nancy announce her passing at the Port Colborne Hospital on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the age of 59.
Nancy, or Nance as she was called, will be forever loved and missed by her daughter Natalie (Victoria Scott) and son Nolte (Berrik Beauchamp). Sadly missed by her brother Robert Hughes (Lisa) and her nieces Ashley and Lindsay. Predeceased by her parents James and Joan Hughes.
Nance will always be loved and remembered by her dear friends Debbie Bundell, Denise Labbé, Roseanne Lustri-Bidoski, Tyra McClentic and the Liske family whom Natalie and Nolte thank dearly for their kindness and support. Dearly remembered by all of the friends and family members who were a part of Nancy’s life. Nance also leaves behind her three other children of the four legged kind – her dogs and cat; Layla, Harper, and Gurtie who will now be cared for by her daughter and son!
Nance worked as a PSW for over 15 years. She was an active member of the Welland Horticultural Society. Nance found great pleasure in attending the bandshell concerts in Fonthill as well as getting out and enjoying community events. Nance was a great listener to anyone’s problems. She offered them all love and support and was sure to make them laugh.
The family will receive friends at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Thursday, July 22 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The memorial celebration of life will take place at the funeral home on Friday, July 23 beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the celebration of life please call the funeral home at 905-892-5762 to reserve a seat. Masks and social distancing are still in effect as per the regulations. The service can also be viewed via livestream on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
The family requests those attending to not wear black as it is a celebration of mom’s life!
