HESLIN, Nancy Louise
(Retired teacher/librarian at St. Joseph’s High School, Barrie)
Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Mariposa House Hospice on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 at the age of 71. Nancy Heslin, of Orillia, beloved wife of Ronan Grogan. Loving mother of Jennifer and Bobby McPhee (Ramara), Sandra and Jason Watt (Fort Langley, BC), Katie and Jeffrey Whitfield (Embrun). Proud Nana of Alexander, Sadie, Amy Rose, Sarah, Charlie, Dylan and Gus. Dear sister of Suzanne Madill and Rita Hinton, both of Orillia.
Mom, nana, sister, auntie, wife, friend, Leafs fanatic, Blue Jays expert, Jamie Lee Curtis doppelgänger, cheerleader for every underdog, burner of all steaks, avid reader, inventor of the egg McNancy, chocoholic, hostess with the mostest, family videographer, Christmas ornament queen, world traveler, beer and popcorn connoisseur, belly laugher, super hugger, golfer, curler, bargain hunter, pool party planner, technologically challenged but always trying. To put it simply, she was our favourite person and we will miss her always!
A committal service will be held at St. Columbkille’s Cemetery, Uptergrove, on Saturday, September 25th at 11 o’clock followed by a celebration of life at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia. For those wishing to come just to the funeral home, we ask that you arrive at 12 noon. All those planning to attend are required to RSVP below as seating is limited.
