Myrtle Evelyn Ashwin nee Foss 19212021

Peacefully in her sleep on May 30, 2021, in Victoria, BC. Beloved wife of the late Dr. James Ashwin, loving mother of Robert (Jenifer Chilcott) and adored grandmother of James Daniel. Predeceased by her parents Ezra and Freida Foss (née Maves), and siblings Victor Foss (late Elsie), Margaret Barrie (late Bill and the late Bert McGregor), Willard Foss (late Phyllis), George Foss (Betty) and Phyllis Blok (late Bert). Survived by many nieces and nephews. She is remembered fondly by many dear friends from her church and social activities.
Myrtle was born and raised in Pembroke, Ontario. She lived in Toronto, Saskatoon, Albany and Miami, before settling with Jim in Ottawa in 1967. She retired to Victoria in 2017 to be nearer to her son and his family.
Graveside service and interment at the Cobden Union Cemetery (Ontario) on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11:00 am.
Arrangements entrusted to McCall Gardens (Victoria) & Malcolm Deavitt & Binhammer (Pembroke). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Victoria Hospice or the Ottawa Heart Institute. Condolences may be offered to the family below
