Murray’s Obituary
Keating, Murray Leo – 65, Collingwood, passed away October 28th, 2021, at home. Born in Higgins Mountain (Westchester), he was the son of the late Kathleen (Hines) Keating. He is survived by long-time companion, Mary Willa Littler; brother, Ross; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Jerry, Hal and Bobby; sister, Irene Corney. He was a dedicated employee with Oxford Frozen Foods for over 30 years. Murray was a member of the Collingwood and District Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years. He had many interests including genealogy research. Some of his favourite pastimes were going for country drives and attending Auctions with Mary Willa. He was educated at Cumberland Regional Vocational school and attended Oulton’s Business College in Moncton. Throughout his lifetime Murray touched many lives in various ways. He had a special attachment to Fred, his beloved cat who has not been seen since Murray’s passing. He will be sadly mourned and cherished forever by Mary Willa. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, 5075 Main Street, Oxford.
