Obituary for
Murray Fleming “Murbo” Darou
1941-2021
On the early morning of November 29, 2021 at the age of 80 years, surrounded by the love of family Murray was carried to heaven on the wings of the angels to join his parents Edith and Glen Darou; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Corri Darou; mother-in-law, Irene Diehl; daughter, Tracy Nguyen; and grandchildren; Adam Haesch, Anaka, Grace and Phynn Nguyen.
Murray is survived by his loving, devoted wife and best friend, Louise who has been his faithful partner for 53 years; brother, Ron Darou; father in law, Willie Diehl; daughters, Tisa (Gary) Haesch and Glenna (Dan) Ference; son-in-law, Lau (Tannis) Nguyen.
He is the beloved “Papoo” to his grandchildren, Andrew Haesch, Noah and Jesse Ference and Quaid, Taelynn, Dezlan, Phoenix, Archer, Ardyst and Cassian Nguyen, as well as many brothers and sisters-in -law, nieces, nephews, dear friends and family.
Family was the pivotal essence of Murray’s life and he was so proud of the legacy he built and the honoured patriarch of the family. All who were blessed to have shared life’s journey with Murray were better for having known him. He was truly a man of honour and goodness.
Murray has left a permanent mark etched into the hearts of all who loved him and will be an enormous loss to all.
Our family would like to thank the staff and residents of The Kipnes Centre for Veterans who have become an extension of our family for the past five years. Your kindness will be remembered always.
Murray requested that no funeral take place and that the family have a celebration of life at the Kingsway Legion in the summer to allow for family and friends to come together and share memories and stories.
