Obituary of Muriel Morrison
Muriel passed away peacefully at Meaford General Hospital on October 21, 2021. Born on January 11, 1922, Muriel Marguerite Morrison (née Mothersell) of Owen Sound, was in her 100th year.
Beloved wife of the late Irvine Morrison (Oct. 9, 2012). Loving mother of Gail McNally (late Phil) of Chatsworth, late Perry Morrison (Barbara) of Alberta, Mary Jane Elder (Terry) of Bognor, Bill Morrison (Cathy) of RR6 Owen Sound, Rick Morrison (Beatrice) of RR6 Owen Sound, Ted Morrison (Anna) of Belleville, and John Price (Barbara) of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Dear sister of Betty Crewson of Owen Sound. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents William and Annie Mothersell, and five sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Tuesday, October 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private service to celebrate Muriel’s life will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, October 27th. Although the service is private, it will be livestreamed via the funeral home website at 11 a.m., and a recorded version will be posted to Muriel’s memorial webpage. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.
