Muriel Stowe
May 29, 1932 ~ March 6, 2021
Age 88 Years
Muriel Joyce Stowe (Goodings) Age 88 of Miniota Manitoba, dies peacefully this week at the Virden Hospital.
Muriel was predeceased by her husband George A. Stowe of Miniota, Manitoba and will be buried by his side in the Miniota Cemetery. She was also predeceased by her Grand-daughter Cheryl Leonard, who passed away 6 years ago, March 13.
Muriel is survived by her daughters Ernestine Sepke (Richard), Mildred Leonard (Ron), Margaret McDonald and her son Ernest Stowe of Miniota. She leaves 5 grandchildren, Cora La Pierre (Sepke) husband Grant, Clayton Sepke, wife Therese, Karen Wotherspoon (Leonard) husband Peter, Angela Lawson (McDonald) husband Terry, and Chelsea McDonald. She also loved to boast about all her Great Grandchildren, Gabriel, Grace & Elizabeth Wortherspoon, Nadege Waffi, Nieander, Nelwynah Sepke, Gemma & Callie Lawson.
Muriel leaves a legacy of gardening, knitting, sewing and baking which were some of her favorite hobbies in her later years, although they were all necessities while she was raising her 4 children. Her flowerbeds were always brilliant with color, and she loved to share her cinnamon buns with all her neighbors, and her grandchildren were all kept warm in sweaters and quilts.
She had a giving heart and despite her failing health in the past few years, was living in her own home and taking care of all her daily needs. She will be sincerely missed by her family, and by all her dear friends in the community that she made when she and George retired back to Miniota in 1984.
A private interment service will be held at the Miniota Cemetery.
