Muriel Ruth Anderson, in her 90th year, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2021 at Bren Del Win Lodge, Deloraine, Manitoba. She will be fondly remembered by her daughter Debbie (Blair), son Ally, daughter-in-law Carolyn, grandsons Chad and Brad, and numerous nieces and nephews. Muriel was predeceased by her dear husband Tom, son Wayne, daughter Deane, grandson Tommy, and granddaughter Jennifer.
Muriel was born in Shoal Lake, MB, the youngest of a very large family, and spent her entire youth there. She and Tom married in 1950. They lived in Shoal Lake, Hamiota, Headingley, and Alexander, before settling in Virden in 1967. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother to 4 children. She was the best baker ever!! She and Tom enjoyed having their grandsons for summer vacations and many great memories were made. Mom always treasured her friendships the most and after Dad’s passing and her failing health, she moved to a care home in Deloraine, but she never forgot her dear friends from Virden. She will be deeply missed by many.
As per Mom’s wishes, there will be no service at this time.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bren Del Win Lodge for the care and compassion they showed Mom in the last few months.
If you wish to make a donation in Muriel’s name, please do so to a local charity of your choice.
You left us beautiful memories,
your love is still our guide
although we cannot see you,
you’re always at our side.
