Munay Marie Caddick 1929 2021

Obituary of Munay Marie Caddick
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Munay “Marie” Caddick, of Kingston, Ontario, in her 93rd year, peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on the evening of August 27th, 2021 with grandniece Jennifer Piitz and close friend Susan Bartlett at her bedside in her last moments.
Munay was born in Midland, Ontario on June 22, 1929 to Paul Lalonde and Elizabeth Desjardins (Lalonde). She is endearingly remembered as a woman with a magnificent sense of humour who was always impeccably dressed with a desire to keep a lovely home. Munay took great pride in her home and family. She also loved her many pets, notably her lovebird “Tweety” and was a devoted dog lover. She treasured her latest canine companions Muphy and Muffin aka “Rags” / “Muff”. She loved to take day trips in the Prince Edward County area, dining out, shopping, and solving crosswords and the daily word jumble. She was also a devoted Toronto Blue Jays Fan who never missed a televised game. She was not shy of new technology, becoming very efficient with the use of her tablet, interacting on social media to maintain a connection with her family and friends much to her delight. She loved to laugh with friends and family especially children, who were also delighted to be in her company. Munay loved US politics and watched CNN with tremendous interest. She enjoyed staying informed about US politics, past presidents, vice presidents, senators and governors.
She will be lovingly remembered by her stepchildren, Anne Marie McCulley, Jane Caddick, Adrien Caddick (Marjorie Contenti), Mark Caddick and Todd Cochrane. Dearly remembered by step grandson, Stephen Heiszek (Carlee Hughes) and step great granddaughter Catherine Heiszek. Deeply missed by her Sister Doreen Lalonde “Sr. Mary Labouré”, niece Debbie McKay and grandniece Jennifer Piitz and many other nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and step grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by her close friends Anna Laberge, Susan Bartlett (Paul Echlin) & Ruby Flynn. With special mention to Susan Bartlett and her family for their tremendous generosity, compassion and personal care that was provided to Munay in her last few months. Also fondly remembered by many other friends, including those at the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul Motherhouse in Kingston, Ontario.
Munay is predeceased by her loving husband of six years, Phillip Caddick whom she now reunites with in great delight. Sisters, Imelda Piitz and Freda Robitaille, and brothers, Ambrose, Morille, and Montcalm welcome her home. Also predeceased by Step granddaughter Lisa Heiszek, her Loving parents Paul Lalonde and Elizabeth Desjardins (Lalonde) and her first husband, Charles James Doyle, married to Munay Lalonde on May 19th, 1973.
