Miranda was born February 1, 1978 in Regina Sk. With family at her side, she left to the spirit world on Saturday November 20, 2021.
She leaves to mourn her son Tremayne McNab; adopted sons Evan McNab-Desjarlais and Branden Peter; maternal grandmother Shirley McNab and grandfather Michael and Glenda McNab. The late paternal grandparents Albert and Katherine Windigo, Mother Melinda Moosemay; sister Diana McNab (David); brother Derek McNab (Kim), Dad Derek Kinequon and biological father Gerald Windigo and Marlene Wolfe; Delvina Albert, Shane Windigo (Darla), Jaymas Windigo, Joe Pelletier (Amber) and Jesse. She was also loved by numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren. Miranda made many special friends along her path.
Miranda was a cheerful and well-loved person who always gave a smile and a hello to everyone she met. Many of the people she greeted became instant family. She was always well kept, enjoyed her fashion and was rarely seen without bling or heels.
She had a special bond with her grandma Shirley, whom she spent many childhood years with. Her mother was mother-bear, her son was mooh-bear along with all her nieces and nephews.
Miranda spent her last years in Calgary but spent time also between George Gordon and Day Star First Nations making many friends along the way and giving nicknames to everyone. Her laughter, jokes and bubbly attitude will be missed by family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Peter Lougheed Hospital, Day Star First Nation Home Care, and Dianna Heuchert for their supportive care and attention; Narfason’s Funeral Home and all the friends and relatives who helped throughout this difficult time.
Wake will be held November 23, 2021 at George Gordon First Nation (old gym) beginning at 4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00 am in the same location. She will be laid to rest at St. Luke’s Cemetery.
Covid-19 Protocols will apply. This will be Traditional Wake and Funeral, please no small children.
