Obituary of Mildred Marie Oborowsky
Mildred (Millie) Oborowsky (nee Dewald) was born on February 25, 1955 in Macklin, Saskatchewan, to parents Rose & Peter Dewald. After a short battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at home in Camrose on February 2, 2021, at the age of 65.
Mom spent most of her life on the farm near Cactus Lake, Saskatchewan, always busy – raising her family of 3 girls while farming, tending to her flowers & garden and feeding anyone that stopped by with buns, baking, canning and sausage – all homemade with love.
Over the last few years, Mom found a new peace within herself and always relied strongly on her faith. She loved nature and watching the deer wander in her backyard while sipping her coffee on her deck. She was always one to say “turn some music on” and then proceeded to sing and dance around the room. Mom especially enjoyed walking to the park, and partaking in ice cream treats and mini train rides around Mirror Lake with her 6 grandchildren – her pride and joy! The kids loved any special time spent with Grandma.
Millie leaves to mourn, her daughters: Della (Dino, Skye & Rhys) Pezzente (Calgary); Coralee (Ted, Aviana & Evangelia) Matsikas (Edmonton); Janessa (Brett, Vann & Veda) Ferry (Edmonton); husband Elmer Oborowsky, as well as an extensive family of sisters, brothers, in-laws, nieces, nephews and close friends. She was truly blessed with so much love and support.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Rose & Peter Dewald; her brother Arnold and her nephew Jody.
Mom’s always kind and caring heart, beautiful smile and generous soul will be greatly missed by all.
A special thank you to all that lent a helping hand and provided so much love, care and support to Millie and her family during these past few months and always. We all succeeded in fulfilling her last wishes and are so grateful for that.
Sleep peacefully Mom – we love you!!
