Obituary of Mildred Dupére
It is with heavy hearts, the family of Mildred Dupére (Gillcrist) (Little) announces her passing on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at the Loch Lomond Village, Cedar House. Born July 17, 1934, in St. Martins, NB, she was a daughter of the late Graydon and Dora Gillcrist.
Mid, (as most knew her) was a homemaker all her life. Taking care of her family was her number one priority. Along with her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Mildred is survived by her children, Wayne Little (Stephanie) of Nauwigewauk, NB, Carol Weston (Brian) of Fairfield, NB, Bonnie Grant (Todd) of Saint John, NB, Malcolm Little (Janet) of St. Martins, NB, Susan McGrath (Brian Kay) of Fredericton, NB and Connie Loughery (Ronnie) of Fairfield, NB; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; her sister, Jessie Bennett; brothers, William Gillcrist and Ward Gillcrist (Shirley); sister-in-law, Robie Gillcrist; as well as many others relatives and friends.
Mildred was predeceased by her first husband, Douglas Little, and by her second husband, Albert Dupére. She was also predeceased by her brothers Roy, Harvey, Clayton, Douglas, Murray, Lawrence and sisters, Helen, Audrey, and Dorothy, as well as brother and sister’s in-law.
Mildred’s family would like to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to the staff of Cedar House at The Loch Lomond Village, for their kindness, caring, and compassion for our mom while she was a resident there. We will never forget you.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 2:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 2:00 PM in The Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will follow in St. Martins Community Cemetery.
