It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mildred Bessie Lockyer (Best) on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Leaving to mourn son Larry Wolfe (Pamela), daughters Marie Mullins-Rideout (Tom), Millie Donauer (Dale), sons Cyril (Toni) & Saul (Jean); daughters-in-law Thelma & Patricia, her loving sister Jessie Humber. Her grandchildren Robin Ann, Douglas (Jenn), Christopher (Iona), Cory (Holly), Paul, Peter (Cynthia), Alex (Allison), Morgan (Mark), Sasha, Jason (Michelle), Chelsea (Bryan), Jordan (Brittany) Rachael (Joe) Charlotte (Ralf) plus 15 great grandchildren plus step-grandchildren & families, nieces & nephews plus a large circle of relatives & friends. Predeceased by her husband Robert John (on same date August 7, 1993), her children Charles, Violet & Robert and son-in-law Joe Mullins.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday, August 20 from 2-4 p.m. with family prayers and memories at 3:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery, Rev. Tanya White officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to WMRH or the Palliative Care Unit or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
Our family wishes to thank the staff and residents/friends of Mountainview Retirement Home, the Palliative Care Unit, and WMRH for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Coleman and Gertie for your gentle kindness to our Mom.
