MacNamara, Mildred Stella (nee Hopkins)
Peacefully, at Pine Meadow Nursing Home in Northbrook, after a long struggle with dementia, Millie MacNamara of Erinsville, dearly loved wife and best friend of Seaumus MacNamara for 46 years. Millie was the daughter of the late Bill and Mary Hopkins also of Erinsville and she was also predeceased by her infant sister Maureen. She is survived by her family members Ann Hopkins of Kingston; Marg Allore (Bob) of Napanee; Bill Hopkins (Lois) of Napanee and Noreen Barnett (Roy) of Teledo, Ontario. Sister-in-law of Shelagh MacNamara of Barry’s Bay. Special Aunt to Jennifer, Julia, David, Lindsay and Scott. Mildred was a very dedicated, caring and well respected elementary school teacher in the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic School Board for many years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Assumption in Erinsville on Friday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Assumption Church Building Fund, the Ontario SPCA L&A Branch, Pine Meadow Nursing Home or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
