Michelle Ferguson passed away at her residence on Friday July 2, 2021 at the age of 46 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Brielle Ferguson and Ava Ferguson-Gurdely; her mother, Pixie Ferguson; sister, Jennifer (Micheal) Truong; brother, Brian (Adriana) Ferguson; nieces and nephews, Emily Stewart, Brandon, Lucas & Mary-Anne Ferguson, Silas & Sarai Truong all of Calgary. She is pre-deceased by her father, Raymond Brûlé; maternal grandparents, Aarne & Laila Luostarinen; and paternal grandfather, Joseph Brûlé.
Michelle was born at the Grace Hospital in Calgary on August 18, 1974. She started school in Cold Lake, AB for her first 6 years – kindergarten through Grade 5. Michelle was very athletic participating in speed swimming, synchronized swimming and gymnastics. She earned many 1st place ribbons and trophies in swimming. She was an honor student at school. She attended Dr. Gladys McKelvie Egbert Junior High and Crescent Heights High School. Michelle participated in The Moving Metaphors, a creative dance program that incorporated gymnastics moves and created by her junior high gym teacher. The group performed at The Jubilee Auditorium. She enjoyed acrylic painting and sentimental contemporary music. She worked in retail and landscape gardening over the years. Michelle had a dry sense of humor and quick wit. She was generous to a fault and outgoing.
A Funeral Service will be held for Michelle at Calgary Central Seventh Day Adventist Church (1920 13 Ave NW, Calgary) on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00am.
Graveside Service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 4 St NW, Calgary, AB)
