Obituary for
Michael Rozak
It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mike Rozak after a brief illness with pneumonia at the age of 94 years.
Mike leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 66 years, Ellen; two sons, Clarence (Sherri) and David (Bernadette); grandchildren, Jeff (Jamie), Janelle (Brent), Samantha (Scott), Eric (Anne); great-grandchildren, Hannah and Spence; sister, Ann; and brother, Bill (Alice).
Mike was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Anna; and brothers, Andrew and Steve.
Mike was born in the Bruderheim area and moved with his family to a farm in the Redwater area. In 1951, Mike purchased his farm near Redwater and, together with Ellen, raised two sons. They created the perfect environment to raise a family. The family farm was Mike’s passion. He enjoyed the challenges and was proud of his efforts and successes. He worked very hard, but because he loved what he did, he made the work seem simple. In 2014, Mike and Ellen retired from the farm and relocated to Fort Saskatchewan.
The family would like to express their thanks to the wonderful, compassionate care provided to Mike by the staff of 3D4 at the University of Alberta Hospital.
