Obituary of Michael Scott Killick
It is with great sadness that we announce that Michael Scott Killick passed away at age 44 on December 18th at home with his devoted wife, Dara, by his side. He is survived by his father and mother, Bill and Marg Killick, sister, Amy Garland (Killick), brother-in-law Jeff Garland, nephew, Finnegan Garland, father-in-law, Harry Moon, mother-in-law, Lynn Moon and sister-in-law Alanna Moon.
Michael was born on April 28, 1977, in St. Catharines, Ontario. After graduating from the Human Resources Management Program at Niagara College, he moved around a lot for work, living in Ottawa, Winnipeg, Mississauga, Edmonton and finally, Georgetown, ON. He spent 20+ years in Human Resources, doing what he loved for some amazing companies, including his current employer Coca Cola Bottling, Canada.
Though he was only on earth for a short time, he is remembered every day by his friends and family. Mike had a sense of humor and personality that lit up any room, and his wife hopes to continue his legacy by starting a charity in his honor. There will be a Celebration of Life in the New Year. In the meantime, the family is asking for thoughts and prayers as they grieve.
Separately, the family would like to thank the wonderful team of doctors and nurses at Credit Valley Hospital, ParaMed and Acclaim Health, that passionately cared and looked after both Michael and Dara.
There will be a Celebration of Life in the New Year (due to Covid). Details to be provided in the future.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Michael Scott Killick 2021..
Death notice for the town of: Georgetown, Province: Ontario
Dear Dara: Sorry to hear that Michael passed away and at such a young age. I hope things go better for you and your family. I am sure this is a very difficult time for you, but I urge you to look at the positive apects of your life and that you can recover from this tragedy.
All of us have losses in our lives, but if you think of what you can do to make things better for other people and Non Humans, it will give you hope and a feeling of importance that will help you through this very difficult episode.
I had a similar occurance with a loved one and what helped me get through the devastation was taking in some new homeless Dogs and Cats and going Vegan for myself.
