Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the age of 69. Beloved husband and best friend of Helen (nee Molnar) for over 33 years. Loving father of Melissa Miller (Jake), Michael Miller, Lindsay Sharma (Mittu), David Miller (Catherine), and Kevin Miller. Proud grandpa of Lexis, Max, and Kendra. Much loved brother of Gayle Jones (Larry), Susan Marr (David), Janet Ogden, and Chris Gray. Dearly missed by his stepfather, Ernest. Predeceased by his sisters, Sharon Miller, Judy Savage (Michael), and by his mother, Betty Gray. He will be lovingly remembered by extended family from Hungary and Canada as well as his many friends. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Bayshore Home Care and St. Joseph’s Home Care for their care and compassion. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Tuesday, August 10 from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Prayers will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at a later date once pandemic restrictions are lifted. In accordance with provincial regulations, there is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend at one time. Please RSVP in advance for the visitation and funeral on Michael’s tribute page at www.smithsfh.com or by calling the Funeral Home between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
