Obituary
Michael passed away peacefully on Saturday October 2, 2021 while surrounded by family.
Michael served in the Merchant Navy for nearly a decade before immigrating to Canada. He was a long-time resident of Penticton where he owned and operated Carl’s Flowers for 34 years. Michael loved golf and was able to play his last nine holes with family and friends by his side two weeks prior.
He is survived by his loving family; wife Norma of 25 years, children Wayne Collis (Sharon) and Dawn Collis; stepchildren Scott Finemore (Terri) and Samantha Barker; grandchildren Melissa, Joshua, Danielle, Cassandra, Elaina, Tanner, Zachary, Riley, Madison, Noah and five great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces, his sister Barbara Ballantyne plus many more extended family.
Michael was predeceased by his wife Yvonne Collis in 1994 and his mother Margaret Allen in 2009.
