Obituary
The family of Michael Edward Burgess, loving husband of Carol (Campbell) Burgess, wish to announce his passing which occurred on June 18, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Charles Gordon and Margaret Catherine (McLaughlin) Burgess.
He held his BBA from UNB and was employed in accounting and was passionate about all things software. He was politically active and enjoyed genealogy. In his younger years he enjoyed motorcyling.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Amanda Catherine Burgess, his close cousin Paul McLaughlin along with his friends Charles Fawcett and Roy Hobson.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). There will be no visitation or funeral service. Following cremation, the graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Thursday, June 24, 2021. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
