Michael Dale Savoy
1952-2021
The passing of Michael Dale Savoy, partner of Sherri French
of Pennfield NB occurred at their residence in Pennfield NB on
February 21, 2021. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on April 1, 1952, he was
a son of the late Peter and Suzanne (St. Coeur) Savoy. A loving
partner, father, step-father, grandfather and brother, in addition to
his partner, Sherri French, he is survived by one son: Ben Savoy
(Stephanie Johnson) of Beaver Harbour NB; daughter: Brandy (Colin)
Naidu of Fort McMurray AB; step-daughter: April Buchanan (Scott
Graham) of Saint John NB; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren;
three step-great-grandchildren; brothers: Eugene (Terry) Savoy of
Blacks Harbour NB, Alexander (Dianne) Savoy of Blacks Harbour NB and
Roger (Lynn) Savoy of Sus NB; sister: Agnes (Clayton) McVicar;
several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Michael was
predeceased by brothers: Romeo, Joseph “Peter”, Gilbert,
Raymond and Louis; one sister: Muriel Comeau.
Prior to retirement, Michael was employed with the Laborers
Union for several years where he worked Construction. In his later
years, he was employed with Connors Brothers in Blacks Harbour. He was
an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and he was skilled
in many things from mechanics to carpentry. Known as a “Jack of
All Trades”, he was always willing to lend his hand with any
project. Also known as a practical joker and professional nag, Michael
had a way of keeping everyone on their toes. His humor, love
and friendship will be sadly missed by all who knew
him.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Michael’s
wishes, there will be no visitation or service. In his memory,
donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by
the family.
