1955-2021
Peacefully, as a result of an unexpected heart attack, on
Friday, October 15, 2021 of Michael B Scotto of Pisquid East age 66
years.
Survived by wife and soulmate Margie (Carmichael); son John
of Halifax NS; son Mark and his wife Melissa of Pleasant Grove; and
stepfather Charles Somers of St. Georges.
Born in Brooklyn,
New York. Beloved brother of Helen Woodcheke (Steve), Elizabeth
Fiorello (Nick), Artie (Maggie), John and Peter Scotto.
Brother-in-law to Genevieve Fitzpatrick, Dan Carmichael, Noreen
Brooker, Leona Moher, and John Carmichael.
Predeceased by
parents Arthur and Virginia (McNally) Scotto; parents-in-law John and
Mary (Murphy) Carmichael; brothers-in-law Urban and Duncan Carmichael;
sisters-in-law Julie Jackson and Kelly Brooker; friend and uncle
Daniel “Joe” Knockwood.
“Uncle Mike” to
many Scotto and Carmichael nieces and nephews in Canada and the United
States. Loved by family and friends as far away as
Japan.
Mike’s wake will be held at Hennessey Cutcliffe
Funeral Home on Friday, October 22nd from 4:00
to 7:00 p.m. by invitation with COVID-19 restrictions in place.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic
Church, Montague on Saturday, October 23rd at
11:00 a.m. by invitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the QEH
Foundation, PEI Heart and Stroke Foundation and/or your local food
