Cross, Melvin Wesley: Sept 15 1955 – Sept 20, 2021. Mel Cross of Kinburn, son of the late Lester Cross and Ruby (Trouse) Cross. Brother of L.D. (Dyan) Cross. Mel died peacefully on the last day of summer in the Renfrew Victoria Hospital following a brief illness. A special thank you to all the folks who helped Mel over the last number of years. The drivers from Arnprior/McNab Seniors at Home – especially Mike and Ken – who drove Mel to Dialysis in Renfrew for the past 4 years and went above and beyond for Mel. The nurses, staff and Dr’s at the Dialysis unit in Renfrew who were so kind and caring to Mel and of course the Doctors, nurses and staff on the second floor of the Renfrew Hospital who took care of Mel in such a kind and compassionate manner over the years. Thank you so much to everyone. Finally, a very special thank you to John O’Neill, Mel’s friend and neighbour who cared for and looked after Mel for the past number of years allowing Mel to stay at home on his beloved farm for so long.
Mel’s final care has been entrusted to Hulse Playfair and McGarry Funeral Home and Chapel. There will be a graveside service at the family plot in Hall’s Cemetery, Wakefield Quebec on Friday, Sep 24, 2021 at 10:30 am
