McBain, Peter Linton
February 21st, 2021
March 25th, 1952 – February 21st, 2021
Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Peter Linton McBain passed away in his 69th year, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved husband of 45 years to Donna. Dearly loved father to his two daughters – Jennifer (Carm) and Kathryn (Dustin). Loving grandfather to his five grandsons – Owen, Adrian, Noah, Ethan and baby G (due in April). Cherished brother of Linda and Paul. He will be fondly remembered by family, including sister-in-law Judi, brother-in-law Bob, sister-in-law Rosemary and many nieces, nephews and their families. Peter was predeceased by his parents Marguerite and Grant McBain, his brother David and his brother-in-law David Jay. He will be missed by his many work colleagues from his lengthy career in Human Resources, his friends on the golf course and his furry best friend Max. Peter was an avid and loyal Western Football Fan and Alumni of the University. He rarely missed a game and the parking lot tailgating community will surely feel his absence this upcoming season. #uwonotwu
As per Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date (due to current Covid restrictions).
Donna, Jen and Kate would like to extend a special thank-you to Tony from ParaMed and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice, especially nurses Carlie, Fiona and Hope, for going above and beyond in caring for Peter and their family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice of London or the Humane Society of London and Middle would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A good man – a good friend – I will always remember Peter.
I have worked and played golf with Peter for many years. Peter has taught me a lot of things . I remember him saying to me after knowing him for 1 week, ” Bill if this is the only thing that happens to you in your illustrious career you will be good” LOL … he became a true friend. Will miss him.
