It is with broken hearts that we the family of Maxim (Max) Joseph LeVangie, announce his passing on November 28, 2021 at Saint Martha’s Regional Hospital. Born in Antigonish on November 12, 1947 to the late Joseph and Clara (Bowie) LeVangie. Max lived in Boylston, originally from Frankville. Max was married to the love of his life Isabel for over 51 years. Dad and mom spent many years of adventures together over the years from Nova Scotia to Toronto and back. Dad was the most amazing man to his two children and his five grandchildren. Dad was a huge part of our family, he loved with all he had and more. Dad was so proud of his grandchildren, he was always teaching and giving them life lessons and always found a way to keep them laughing and smiling.
Dad was the best husband, dad, papa, brother and friend.Dad is survived by his loving wife and partner Isabel, son Michael of Calgary, daughter Connie (Paul) Decoste of Havre Boucher, three grandchildren Kayla (Logan) MacNeil of Calgary, Corey (Samantha) and Jamie (Katie) both of Havre Boucher and two chosen Grandchildren Katie and Mia.
Dad is also survived by Anne, Monica (Gary) and Regina (Victor) of Halifax, Vera (Fred) and John of Prince Edward Island, Leona (Vaughan), Judy (Arthur) of Havre Boucher and Stephen (Elise) of Pomquet and Bonnie of Antigonish. Also survived by several in-laws, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Max was predeceased by his sister Joanie.
Dad worked very hard over the years in Toronto and found his way back home to work as an operator at AECL and finished his career as a carpenter.
Dads biggest passion in life was his wife and family, hunting in the back forty, fishing the Milford Haven in the boat he loved and his passion for music and singing over the years.
We the family of Max, would like to thank the many Doctors and Nurses in Guysborough, and the Palliative Care both in Guysborough and Antigonish.
Cremation has taken place, visitations will be held at St Paul’s Centre, Havre Boucher on Sunday December 5th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm.
