Obituary of Maurice René Lajoie
It’s with a heavy and sad heart that I announce the passing of my Dad, Maurice “Moe” Lajoie on September 8, 2021 in the Palliative Care Unit at the Pontiac Community Hospital, Shawville, Quebec at the age of 81. He is predeceased by his father Henri, mother Aurore, sisters Gabrielle and Marie and brothers Jean-Claude and Robert. He will be loved and missed by his sisters Nelda and Suzanne, as well as myself, daughter Carole and his grandchildren Tyler and Samantha.
Helping people was one of many things Dad loved doing and took great pride in. He especially loved, and was rightly proud of, his long-time job as Volunteer Driver with Transport Action Pontiac. He lived in the small town of Otter Lake for many decades where he was well-known and well-loved. It was incredible how many friends and best friends he had. He will be greatly missed. Dad led a simple life with no fuss, as such we are following his request of no funeral or services.
I would like to send out many special thanks to all who have helped my Dad over the years and me more recently. I am very grateful to each and every one of you for keeping an eye on him when I couldn’t, dropping off food and for all the stories you shared with me. You were all family to him.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Maurice
