Maurice Sr Brabant 2021

It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing in Sudbury, on Friday, July 9, 2021 with his family by his side at the age of 76 years. Son to the late Lionel and late Fernande (née Giguère) Brabant. Cherished husband to the late Barbara Brabant (née Leveillée). Beloved father to Linda-Anne Brabant (Brown) and Maurice Jr. “Moe” Brabant (Ginette). Loving grandfather to Konner Brown, who held a special place in his heart. Dear brother to Georgette (late Randy), Suzanne (Dirk), Richard, Gilbert, Claude (Micheline) and late Armand (Diane). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Moe was born in Warren, was raised in Azilda and raised his family in Chelmsford. He commenced working with INCO Limited in Thompson, Manitoba in 1963. He married the love of his life, Barbara Leveillée, in 1964. Moe continued his career with INCO and was transferred to Levack mine. He worked at various INCO properties and retired as a Supervisor in 1995 at the Crean Hill mine. He enjoyed a good game of Bingo and travelling to the United States to various casinos. The outdoors was always his passion, especially fishing and hunting with family and friends. A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford.
