We are sad to announce the passing of Mary Wepruk, born March 7, 1936-March 31, 2021. Mary was born in Arbakka, Manitoba, and grew up on her parent’s farm. She attended Solway School in Arbakka and later Shevchenko Collegiate in Vita. Mary worked at various jobs in Winnipeg. Unfortunately, Mary suffered several health issues and difficulties throughout her life. However, she still loved to garden, cook, bake and loved to do embroidery. Mary lived in Vita most of her life and became a resident of the Vita Personal Care Home in 1989 where she enjoyed the staff and visitors as well as the residents.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Steve and Anne, as well as her brother Nicholas and sisters Elsie and Catherine. Mary is survived by her sister Nellie, brother in law Paul of Winnipeg, Stella, brother in law Bob of Castlegar, BC, nephew Steve, nieces Debbie Renzi, Sally Sullivan her husband Joe, great nieces Sheila, Alana and great nephew Joseph. Also 1 great-great nephew and 3 great-great nieces.
The family extends a deep thank you to the doctors and staff at the Vita Personal Care Home for giving Mary the excellent care she received.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10th at 1 pm at Vita Funeral Chapel, Vita, Manitoba, interment following the service.
