The passing of Mary Ruth McPherson occurred at the Nokomis Health Centre on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 77. Mary is remembered by her siblings Mae McGregor of Calgary, AB, Earl McPherson of Moose Jaw, SK, Selma Albertyne of Edmonton, AB, Donna LaPlante of Prince Albert, SK, Tania Miekle of Tappen, BC, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother, Myrtle McPherson (Derdall); father, Donald McPherson (Dorothy) McPherson; sisters Eileen McPherson, and Jennette (William) Hauberg; brothers Jarld McPherson and Archie McPherson; brother-in-law Clarence McGregor; niece, Laurie Hauberg; nephews Scott McPherson and Max Albertyne. Mary was born in Outlook on July 4, 1943 and grew up on a farm south of Broderick. She then resided at Valley View Centre in Moose Jaw. She also lived in Humboldt for many years where she worked at an abilities workshop, and most recently she lived at a care home in Nokomis. She loved doing crafts and puzzles, spent many summers visiting with her sisters, and attended Camp Easter Seal annually. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Camp Easter Seal / Saskatchewan Abilities Council at saskabilities.ca.
